If you are looking into becoming a Project Manager and already have 2-3 years knowledge of working in a projects environment, a good place to start would be to take your PRINCE2 Foundation – Junior Project Managers positions start from around £22k and can go up to around £30k, having your PRINCE2 Foundation & Practitioner qualification will ensure that you are earning the top end of the scale salary wise as this is a ‘defacto standard’ is recognised worldwide.
The Office of Government Commence has undertaken a major review to refresh the PRINCE2 project management methodology and manual. PRINCE2 2009 was launched by the OGC at the Cavendish Rooms in London on 16th June.

Organisations who currently adopt the PRINCE2 methodology and PRINCE2 practitioners can be assured that PRINCE2 2009 is an evolution of previous versions of themethod and will not result in sweeping changes. The core principles remain the same and
PRINCE2 is evolving to reflect the latest developments in the project management arena rather than changing radically. All existing qualifications will remain valid and examinations will remain similar in format.
