ECITB - NES AIM Academy to deliver free project management training
The Engineering Construction Industry Training Board (ECITB) has selected NES AIM Academy to deliver training of the APMIC (Association of Project Managers - Introductory Certificate) to its members.
The course is FREE* to staff from ECITB registered companies (Normal Fee is £750 Per Person + VAT) - an opportunity not to be missed!!
The APMIC is a 2-day workshop designed by the APM and The Department for Education and Skills to introduce people to a structured approach to planning, managing and controlling a project. The course is fully accredited by the APM, and a one hour multiple choice exam, secures the APM Introductory Certification.
Courses are currently offered through NES AIM Academy in Manchester and London, and spaces are at a premium. Further locations will be added in response to demand. Confirmed course dates are listed below - please book ASAP to secure your place. This is offered on a 1st come, 1st served basis.

Pre-requisites
No prior knowledge or experience in Project Management is required for this certificate.
What is assessed?
Assessment will be through a 60 question multiple choice examination taken over 1 hour.
The Assessment will cover the principles of Project Management including:

- Teamwork
- Resource Management
- Risk Management
- Handover
- Review
- Pre-Course Work
No pre-course work is required.
Format
During the syndicate activities delegates will produce various documents required to plan, monitor and control any project. They will have ample opportunity to discuss their findings, their understanding of the processes and their approach to Project Management. Throughout the workshop additional information will be given to ensure syndicates cover the objectives of each session. Individual exercises will also be used to consolidate subjects taught.
Successful candidates will be able to understand the language of Project Management and the structure of a successful project. They will be able to take an active part in a project team and make a positive contribution to any project environment.
