SMARTER Apprenticeship
The SMARTER scheme is a low risk, successful and innovative service to help clients who have identified an existing or potential skills shortage. This cost effective solution of recruiting and training a new generation of skilled staff has been run for a number of organisations including Shell, Barclays, Centrica, Axa and IS Integration. The scheme can be run for a variety of requirements, be it legacy or leading edge IT skills, Project Management or Business Analysts.

| Assessed | Full assessment and aptitude centres run by qualified NES AIM Academy staff |
| Recruited | A 12 month temporary contract through NES AIM Academy provides the client with a low risk, 12 month 'interview' |
| Trained | Tailored training programme designed to meet the client's specific needs |
| Evaluated | NES AIM Academy hold regular reviews with the candidates, based around KPI's set by the client to ensure the future skills demand is met and client expectations are exceeded |
| Retained | Following the 12 month programme the client is given the option to offer a permanent position to the trainees. Proven high retention rates (97%) even after 5 years. |
